Falling Asleep Without Writing Again!

So, last night, I had remembered that I still had a post to write as I started to make dinner. Then, life happened, and I was lying in bed still thinking, “I need to write my post!” Next thing I knew, it was 2:30 AM, and I still hadn’t written anything.

I decided to write a line or two today in an attempt to let all you mamis and readers know that I didn’t forget about you; I just got distracted and that was that.

Basically, it’s been a very busy week over here. The main thing I have learned over the past week:

  1. Mr. Sweetie loves to walk! (He took his first steps Saturday last week, and his first real walk last Sunday.)
  2. Sometimes in life, we become the recipients of our own medicine, so to speak, and it is tough to reconcile that and accept it as our paying a debt back to the world with our patience, especially when we are not okay with it in the present. My only advice is: talk about it. Find a way to express your dislike. Festering is never good. And don’t let the point of what you are saying get lost. It’s important if it affects you and the way you feel.
  3. Love things. Take the time to love them and enjoy them. Unfortunately, that laundry won’t do itself – it will still be there tomorrow. But this moment won’t.

And that’s all for this week! Lots of love, and more next week!

What have you learned this week? How has it challenged you as a person? What advice would you pass on to another? Please leave a comment in the space below; we would love to hear from you!

Encouraging Empowered Mamis Everywhere To Do What They Do

Mami

Mami is an artist, aspiring entrepreneur, and first-time, full-time mother. She enjoys long walks with Mr. Sweetie, good food and cooking, her family and dear friends, writing, arting and crafting. She doesn't know everything, but wants to learn, and loves to do research and share what she finds. She thinks life is like a box of puzzle pieces: you keep trying until it fits, because every piece has its place. She owns and operates whatever she sets her mind to, and knows that the sky is only the limit if you haven't left the ground yet.
