Babies Save The World – One Heart At A Time

One of the reasons I was motivated to start this blog was that I really started to get what people had been saying for years, experiencing it “first hand”. You know, those things about how parents and grandparents are about their own kids or grandkids. They think they are the most beautiful, cutest, most brilliant, creative, funny, amazing, etc, little people in the world (at least when they are not feeling really challenged or overwhelmed by it all). It is almost as if they are wearing some kind of magical glasses.

They will share pictures endlessly, online or in person, and tell stories of what the latest 25 or so “amazing things” are that their child or grandchild did, or is doing currently. They will even do it over the phone, with no pictures, and describe things in detail to others, like those “things” are the cutest “things” ever! Like when they smile for example; they even smile in their sleep! Your heart just melts with joy…

What I keep experiencing, that may be the exact same thing they are, is that I do not know if I can even look at Mr. Sweetie for very long and not be smiling. He just makes me happy! When I look at him, I see magic. I see precious. I see adorable. I see amazing! No wonder I want to take as many pictures as I can and share them with the world. When you see something that fantastic, you want to share it with all your friends, relatives, acquaintances, and strangers! Perhaps the experience will even help save the world!!!

On this line, I recently saw a talk on Ted.com about the power of a smile. You can check it out here.

Check it out, I hope it brings some new learning your way and reminds you of what babies are born with that we tend to lose close contact with during the growing older process. We forget the fun, the magic and the joy of just being alive, every moment of every day.

Blessings to you and thanks for all the loving parenting you do.

Hug attached,

Koolma  : )
